Growing up in a small country town, I was captivated by the beauty surrounding me—endless landscapes, vibrant flora, and the natural textures that inspired my early creations. From wood and metalwork to my mother’s garden flowers, I found creative expression in transforming my surroundings into art. Throughout my school years, I explored diverse mediums like illustration, silk painting, and screen printing, each new technique deepening my passion for translating the world around me.

My true artistic path began during silversmithing courses at the JamFactory in South Australia. There, I wandered past the hot shop and was immediately captivated by molten glass—its fluidity, vibrant colours, and delicate transformation under heat. This fascination led me to study Applied Hot Glass at the University of South Australia, where I embraced glassblowing and sand casting. Inspired by Australia’s vivid colours and unique landscapes, I began weaving natural elements into my glasswork, bringing each piece to life with colour, texture, and detail that reflects my love for this country’s natural beauty.

After interning with accomplished artists and refining my skills in lampwork and kiln work, I established my own studio, Petite Flame. Here, I explore the interplay of light, form, and texture, crafting glass pieces that celebrate the essence of Australia’s flowers and landscapes. Every creation is infused with my passion for nature, allowing me to share a piece of Australia’s magic through my art.
